How can I get help with obtaining media coverage and working with reporters? prev next

The Office of Media Relations (642-3136), the campus news bureau, links journalists, campus newsmakers, and the public to promote University activities. The group is organized using a beat system, with most staff members responsible for a cluster of academic disciplines and campus issues.

Media Relations helps faculty members communicate their latest scientific discoveries, unique new classes or community service projects, and expertise on hot topics in the news. Staff members write and distribute press releases, help professors prepare for print and broadcast interviews, and offer other communications services.
