UC Berkeley Extension Fall Program for Freshman enables 600 freshmen who have been accepted for spring matriculation to the Berkeley campus to participate during the preceding fall in a full-time curriculum paralleling that of a first-semester Berkeley freshman. In spring, they are able to join their campus cohorts without having missed a term. Under special arrangement, a few Fall Program for Freshman students are allowed to concurrently enroll in one campus class. Fall Freshman students are strictly forbidden to audit campus classes.
The Concurrent Enrollment program allows individuals to enroll for credit in regular campus courses through UC Berkeley Extension without formally applying and being admitted to the University. Individuals must meet course prerequisites and can be admitted only if space is available after all regular students have been admitted. The enrollment of concurrent students is at the discretion of the instructor and department, and admission is subject to any conditions the instructor or department may prescribe. Enrollment must be for credit.
Transfer credit awarded to students for participating in these programs include both grade points and course credit.
