What financial aid is offered to students? prev next

Financial aid is available to both undergraduate and graduate students in several forms, depending on a student's academic level and financial need. The Financial Aid Office meets the need of California residents through a combination of grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study. An emergency loan program is also offered. The Undergraduate Financial Aid Office home page and the Graduate and Professional Student Financial Aid Office home page contain helpful information about the various aid programs, the cost of attendance at Berkeley, and the financial aid application process.

Financial assistance for graduate students is available in the form of University and outside agency fellowships, as well as departmental awards. For more information about these and other programs for graduate students, contact the Graduate Division's website or call 642-0672.

Non-immigrant international students, both undergraduate and graduate, can apply for financial aid through the Berkeley International Office (642-2818).
