How do I apply for sabbatical leave?  prev next

Submit a Sabbatical Leave/Special Leave of Absence form (available from your department) and statement to your department chair. Your request must be approved by your chair and dean. In your statement you are expected to describe:

• the history of your proposed project;

• the project’s scholarly, creative, or pedagogical significance;

• the location(s) or institution(s) where the project will take place, and the name(s) of any authorities involved;

• assurances of cooperation or authorization to carry out the project;

• sources of all financial support anticipated during the sabbatical.

Within 90 calendar days after you return from a sabbatical, you must submit a report describing the results of your leave.
