Every spring, about 80 graduation ceremonies are held at sites throughout campus. Each college and many departments of the College of Letters and Science stage their own ceremonies and receptions for graduating students. Department policies on the wearing of cap and gown vary. Appropriate ceremonial attire may be rented or purchased from the Cal Student Store Graduation Department (642-7029); a limited supply is available from University Events and Ceremonies.
